Persons with disabilities
(PWD’s) people are not deferent from any other people in the society. Within an
appropriate environment, they can perform their job in an expected manner. They
can learn a new skill, fulfil job demand, satisfy their employer and support
their family.
More than 13
million PWD’s people live in Bangladesh. By virtue of their impairment the
large numbers of people are excluded from normal activities of life like
education and employment. In most cases, they are unable to return to their
previous profession. PWD’s Women are often deserted by their husbands, replaced
by a new wife, and often rejected by their family as well as society.
There are a few Organisations working with
disabled field, especially employment-oriented sector like Centre for the
Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP). Therefore science its inception in 1979
CRP has been running a vocational training facility in its premises which
graduate trainee up to 4000 No. In addition, male female gender ratio is 60% to
40%. Now Bangladesh Technical Educational Board (BTEB) affiliates it.
